Nomada Digital shortlisted at The York Press BUSINESSiQ Awards 2026

We've been shortlisted at The York Press BUSINESSiQ Awards 2026 in the Small Business category, and we're not going to pretend we're playing it cool. We're elated!

The awards are in their 35th year, and they exist to recognise businesses doing good work across York, North and East Yorkshire. That's part of why this one lands with us the way it does.

Our founder, Danny Sullivan, started Nomada Digital in York in 2020 as a one-man SEO consultancy. Six years on we're a team of six, working with B2B clients from York to New York, and we're still deliberately small, still senior-delivered, still remote-first. None of that happened by accident, and it's how we've chosen to build the business, and it's how we intend to carry on.

This is why being recognised in the city the business was built in means a lot. York isn't a backdrop for us - it's where this started, it's where we're based, and it's the business community we've grown up in. Remote-first doesn't mean rootless - we still get together in our co-working space every week, and York is still where the centre of gravity sits.

We've always been proud to be a York business, and we're just as proud of what that now looks like in practice - a York-founded, remote-first team doing this work for companies UK-wide and in New York, for clients like Vibe Retail. There's something super satisfying about putting this city on the map in a market many times its size. Our clients on the other side of the Atlantic aren't working with a London agency, or a New York one, they're working with a company rooted in York - and it turns out that's never once been the thing holding us back.

A big congratulations to all the other businesses on the shortlist - we're in good company, and it's a good reminder of how much is happening in our community.

We'll be heading to the ceremony at York Racecourse this November, and we're keeping our fingers crossed for a win - wish us luck!
